Grant Taylor

is the drummer for Canadian country singer-songwriter, Dani Strong.  Dani’s debut album came out in October 2016 and went straight to #1 on the iTunes country chart.  Grant is best known as the drummer and one of the founders of the Canadian rock band, The Salads.   The Salads had a successful run in early 2000’s bringing in multiple awards, 8 Music videos and toured with bands such as Simple PlanFishbone and Bif naked.   After leaving, The Salads Grant did some session work for Delores O’Riordan (The Cranberries) for her solo project and for  Landon Pigg on his 2006 album ‘LP’ with RCA (USA).  He later toured the United States as Landon’s drummer in late 2006.  He has also toured as the drummer for Gilby Clarke (Guns and Roses) in 2016. Grant is proud to be supported by Pearl Drums, Sabian, D’Addario Canada and Jojo Cajons

Matias Recharte has been playing cajon since the age of six from teachers such
as Gabriel Bustamante, Laura Robles and others in his hometown of Lima,
Peru. He has had the honor of sharing the stage with legendary cajoneros such
as Carlos “Caitro” Soto, Eusebio “Pititi” Sirio, Julio “Chocolate” Algendones and
Leonardo “Gigio” Parodi. In 2006 he travelled to Europe to attend the Rotterdam
Conservatory where he met and shared rhythms and techniques with
contemporary flamenco players such as Miguel Hiroshi Garcia.
Since 2013 he lives in Toronto with his family where he is an advanced student
of the renowned mridangam maestro Trichy Sankaran. For the past few years
he has been expanding his cajon technique by adapting the strokes and
language of South Indian drumming. He is currently a member of the New
Canadian Global Music Orchestra, a project of the Royal Conservatory that
brings together musicians from 12 different countries who have made their home
in Canada.
